My interest is in giving space to those atmospheres in and around us that have no defined forms: the inter-combination of energies of existence as a whole, the collective dreams, fears and struggles, the endless questioning for meanings. I am amazed by the fact that a simple object like a painting can foster within itself such a mystery. My hope for my work, if any, is to create a space for this semi-thoughts and feelings to arise and hang out for a bit.

When I start to work, I don’t know where I will end up. Meeting the unknown, the not conceived nor conceivable, is what I am after, and it is the connecting point between me, the painting, and the observer.

I like to explore different materials and different ‘modus operandi’ until I find a combination that strike the right cord in me, and keep investigating that for a while.
The inspiration comes from the movements in and around me, from nature, from works of other artists, can come from a piece of music at times, from the material I am using, etc.
What happens between a painting and a viewer is something un-nameable, it is a mystery even for the viewer him/herself.

An artwork is the only object that can induce a sense of revery and wonder, and still remain profoundly mysterious. I work to inspire that.
